About Us
Baru are a school uniform and embroidery specialist company based in West Central Scotland. We have a store in Kirkintilloch and in Paisley Moss Street. Baru are a family run business supplying uniforms to the public and wholesale to schools. We pride ourselves on being able to quickly and efficiently deliver whatever uniform is required.
Website
Our website is now up and running and available to take orders for items. We are still working on getting all the schools uploaded to the website but this process takes time. If you wish to see your school added sooner rather than in order, then please email baru@btconnect.com with the name of the school and we can add that one next.
Delivery
We offer two delivery options. You can either have your parcel couriered to you or you can select the option to collect in store. For courier deliveries, there is a charge of £3.95 regardless of the order value. Click and collect is becoming a popular option. We now also offer delivery to school for free to schools where we have this facility.
If your item is in stock and you select click and collect, you will get a text message with your order reference as soon as we have placed your items aside. This is usually with 1 working day. You are free to collect your items when it is convenient for you.
If your items are not in stock, we will order the items for you and when they are ready, you will again get a message to let you know that your items are available for collection. We normally expect this to be within 10-14 days although this time can increase to up to 21 days during the summer back to school period.
If some items are in stock and some are available to order, then you will get a message when your complete order is ready. The items in stock are placed to one side for you and the other items are ordered for you.
Exchanges
Our aim is to provide you with the items you have ordered. We
strive to ensure that continuity of supply is always available. For example if
all you want to do is move up to the next size after your child has grown, we
always try to ensure you get the same brand of items.
There are times when you are not completely satisfied with
your order. In this case we are happy to exchange items up to 28 days after
purchase. You can either return the item to us enclosing a note of what is
required or come into the store for an exchange. Items for exchange must
be returned unworn, in original condition, in the original packaging and must
have all labels still attached. We cannot exchange any garments that
have been ordered in specially or embroidered.
Returns
If you wish to return items then
we are able to do this. In order to return items, please ensure that proof of
purchase is included within your return parcel. You are able to return items up
to 7 days after delivery. We require written notification that items are being
returned prior to returning the items to us. The can be by email to baru@btconnect.com or by letter to Baru, 5
Cowgate, Kirkintilloch, Glasgow, G66 1HW.
The customer is responsible for
the costs assosiated with returning the items. Proof of posting is recommended in
case of parcels getting lost in the post.
Uinless faulty, items for refund must be returned unworn, in original condition,
in the original packaging and must have all labels still attached.
